Strategic Design for Statewide Impact

This short-form impact report was created for the North Carolina Department of Military & Veterans Affairs (NCDMVA) to provide a clear snapshot of key program metrics and statewide service outcomes. The goal was to deliver a professional, visually engaging summary that could be used in briefings, legislative sessions, and public communications.

The report needed to communicate data in a concise, accessible format, balancing visual clarity with brand consistency. As the sole designer, I was responsible for concept development, layout design, data visualization, and final production.​​​​​​​

The design employs a clean, modular grid and a minimal color palette drawn from the NCDMVA brand. Custom icons and infographic elements were used to break down statistics, highlight impact areas, and maintain reader engagement across a short read. Emphasis was placed on hierarchy and legibility, ensuring the report could function effectively in both print and digital formats.

This report successfully condensed complex information into a polished and shareable format. It has been used to support state-level conversations about Veteran services, legislative awareness, and ongoing program development.
